Au Bon Lieu: Hershey’s Taste of France

Authentic, delicious French crepes don’t require a passport and a plane ticket. All that is needed is a visit to Au Bon Lieu on Chocolate Avenue.

Owner Farid Soulimani said he brought his creperie to Downtown Hershey because he “likes sweets, and Hershey is the sweetest place on earth.” Describing the many assets of the town, such as the theatre, library, and fellow restaurants including Fenicci’s, Devon, and more, he says,“Downtown Hershey is unique in a way that it is small, yet complete.”

Farid has been in the restaurant business since his early twenties. He has always loved to cook and experiment with new recipes. He and his wife run the restaurant and serve food that is fresh, and minimally processed. According to Farid, the best reward for being a business owner is being able to serve his community.

Although Au Bon Lieu has over 90 different sweet and savory crepes on it’s menu, Farid’s favorites to make are sugar with fresh lemon, orange marmalade with brie, and Belgian dark chocolate with strawberries. They even offer gluten free crepes if you call in advance.

Au Bon Lieu is open seven days-a-week, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Visit them at www.aubonlieu.com for their full menu and of course, head over to 110 W Chocolate Ave for a delicious taste of France.
