Downtown Hershey hosts Holiday Celebration!

We’re lighting up the holidays this Friday, December 1, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in ChocolateTown Square with Downtown Hershey’s Holiday Celebration and annual tree lighting. The tree will be lit by the Children’s Miracle Network Child Scarlett McCarthy from Elizabethtown and her family. Check out Scarlett’s story here.

Downtown Hershey’s Holiday Celebration is produced by the Downtown Hershey Association and Derry Township Parks and Recreation and includes a variety of activities for the entire community.

Hershey High School’s Chocapella will lead the crowd in singing a selection of holiday tunes. Kids are welcome to stop by to make their own ornaments, pose with Hershey’s product characters, and even “mail” letters to Santa! Cookies and hot cocoa will also be available to everyone to enjoy. At around 6:20 p.m., Santa will arrive via a Hershey Volunteer Fire Company fire truck. He will stay to visit with children so that they can share their Christmas wishes.

Thanks to our sponsors —The Hershey Company, Karns Foods, and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts— this event is free and open to the public. This celebration is sure to get you in the holiday spirit, so you won’t want to miss it!

Volunteers are greatly appreciated. If you would like to help, you can sign up here. Dress warm! We hope to see you there!
