Our town might be known for delicious milk chocolate, but there’s always room for more sweet treats! New to Downtown Hershey is Small Town Fudge, an “honest-to-goodness, old fashioned, premium fudge” shop.
Located at 110 West Chocolate Avenue, Small Town Fudge specializes in handmade, small-batch fudge that is cooked locally and with 100 percent natural ingredients. The endless varieties of fudge are sold by the pound, and each is hand paddled on a marble slab. Among the shop’s offerings are flavors such as Rice Krispie Treat, Butter Pecan, Peanut Butter, Cookies and Cream, Rocky Road, and many more!
Owner Eric Cayton opened Small Town Fudge because, according to him, he’s always wanted to have a chocolate business in Hershey. Born and raised in Hershey, Eric said that “it’s been a passion of mine my entire life” to own a small business in town, and now he finally has the chance to realize this dream. Eric describes his fudge as “old fashioned cream and butter fudge” similar to that of fudge shops on the Jersey Shore. He wanted to bring this type of delicious dessert to his hometown for locals and tourists alike to enjoy.
For more information about specific flavors or to order fudge, check out Small Town Fudge’s website and Facebook page. Currently, the shop is open from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and 5:00 pm – 8:00 or 9:00 pm most weekdays, and Eric plans to transition to longer hours in the coming months. Be sure to stop by Small Town Fudge for delicious and unique flavors of fudge that you can’t find anywhere else in Downtown Hershey!
