The Primanti Bros. sandwich shop made its grand entry onto the Downtown Hershey scene on September 26 with their opening day tailgate! Early participants enjoyed food, beverages, and even some backyard games in a warm welcome from the newest addition to the Hershey restaurant scene. Some even camped outside the store overnight in anticipation of its opening!
“The whole thing was very fun,” said Michael Ann from Hershey, who attended the tailgate on Wednesday morning. “The Primanti Bros. (staff) made it very easy to wait in line. They took great care of us providing us with food samples, some merchandise, and entertainment. I was very excited for the store to finally open!”
Primanti Bros. has been a well-known dining institution in the Pittsburgh area since 1933. One of their popular items is the “Almost Famous” sandwich, which starts with two slices of soft, Italian bread and is piled high with a choice of grilled meat, an optional egg, secret recipe sweet-and-sour slaw, fresh-cut fries, and two slices of tomato.
Primanti Bros. will be open Sundays through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until midnight and from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. They’re perfect for all late-night snackers craving a delicious sandwich! The store also has half-priced happy hours from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The new Hershey location includes a full restaurant menu, large bar, several televisions, and an outdoor patio. Be sure to make a stop at Primanti Bros., now open in Downtown Hershey!
