Fourth of July Fun in Hershey


It’s nearly July, which means it’s time for backyard barbeques, summer nights with friends and family, and fireworks! There’s plenty to do over the long holiday weekend here in Hershey, so check out some of the highlights for Independence Day this year!




A Star-Spangled Picnic

July 3 or 4 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Pioneer Frontier Catering Pavilion

$15 per person with HersheyPark ticket


Join in the fun at HersheyPark for an all-you-can-eat picnic of hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian chicken, pasta salads, and plenty more! There will be many side dishes, ice cream, desserts, and drinks, as well as a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased online or day-of at Hospitality Services or Guest Services by 7:30 pm.


Opening Ceremonies

July 4 at 9:45 am

Main Entrance

Free with HersheyPark ticket


To officially kick off independence day, join the HersheyPark Band at the main entrance for a playing of the national anthem. Following the performance, gates will open at 10:00 am.



July 4 at 10:15 pm

Midway America (recommended viewing area)

Free with HersheyPark ticket


The annual HersheyPark fireworks display will begin at 10:15 pm, and is a sure hit for all ages! Park goers are recommended to view the show from Midway America.


Hershey Symphony Orchestra


“An American Salute” concert

July 3 at 7:30 pm

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (front lawn)

This annual, free concert will begin with a combination of John Williams movie themes, coupled with a medley of pop and rock classics, pieces from the Broadway hit “Hamilton,” Sinatra hits, and light classics. Following these exciting selections, the Orchestra will present “A Salute to America,” accompanied by Hershey Symphony Orchestra vocalists. These selections will celebrate America and provide a special tribute to the military. Stick around for the fireworks display beginning at 10:00 pm.


The concert is under the direction of Bob Sproul, and is sponsored by Penn Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, The Hershey Lodge, Sutliff Chevrolet, and the Hershey Symphony Orchestra. Complimentary ice cream and water will be available, and food trucks will also be on site for additional food purchases. Additional information may be found at


Antique Automobile Club of America Museum


Fireworks and Fun

July 4 at 5:00 pm


For just $7 per person, you can tour the museum during their special extended hours of 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm this Fourth of July! After your tour, break out the blankets and chairs to enjoy a spectacular view of the HersheyPark fireworks display from the front lawn of the AACA museum!
