The community is invited to celebrate the new Farmers Market on Chocolate with the official grand opening, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 9 a.m. The celebration will feature a ribbon cutting at the market opening, vendor specials, children’s activities and music provided by Hershey’s own Meghan Cary. The first 100 customers will receive a free Farmers Market on Chocolate recyclable bag.
The Farmers Market on Chocolate opened on May 23 and will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. through September 26. Vendors sell fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese, and other specialties at this artisanal farmers market presented by the Downtown Hershey Association. The Market is held in the Downtown Hershey Event tent near the Hershey Post Office on Chocolate Avenue at the corner of Linden Road.
Shoppers can buy local goods including produce, meats and seafood, infused olive oils, hand crafted spices, fresh bread, homemade cookies, handmade candles, cold press juices and fruit sorbets, freshly-prepared meals, all natural dog treats and high quality art designed by local residents.
