In their book, Here I Come Sky!, Hershey residents Wendy Lubell and Archana Sehgal have wrapped a powerful message into a beautifully illustrated story for all ages. The book shares the tale of a wee bird who is uncertain about spreading its wings and taking its first journey outside the nest.
This Saturday, July 8, you can pick up a copy of the book and meet Wendy and Archana at a book signing during Downtown Hershey Association’s Market on Chocolate activities.
“Lovingly written and illustrated, Here I Come Sky! is a pleasure to share,” says Nancy Green in a recent Facebook post. “The message of exploring the big wild world while believing in yourself and taking that first step is heartwarming. Listening to my child answer the questions in the back of the book is something I look forward to doing again and again.”
When not volunteering as the director of Market on Chocolate, Wendy works as an author, personal coach and speaker who inspires clients from a wide spectrum of industries to achieve their highest potential. She calls upon her experience as a former professional and collegiate athlete, her extensive world-travels including living internationally and her dedicated role as mother to Levi and Sage.
Archana is also a frequent DHA volunteer who works as an artist and children’s book illustrator. Prior to becoming an artist, she spent more than a decade working in various technology-related roles across Silicon Valley.
