New Years Chocolate Eve

Start the New Year off right, in Downtown Hershey! Although the New Year’s Eve concert and festivities start at night, there is plenty to do during the day. Starting at 11:00 a.m., The Hershey Story museum will be open to the public until 9:00 p.m. with special activities including a free bubble wrap stomping station taking place on the patio, and a musical performance by Jim Rule from 8:00-9:00 p.m. The Hershey First United Methodist Church will be hosting food and games from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During their festivities, come out of the cold for free concerts in the sanctuary at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 featuring Rizzetta’s Tones.

Then, the New Year’s Eve celebration concert begins! We kick it off with the band Pentagon performing from 9:00 – 10:10 p.m. their unique brand of rock ‘n’ roll and R&B. Following Pentagon, singer, songwriter, and guitarist Kris Allen will take the main stage. Allen was a contestant on The American Idol in season 8. His musical career was threatened when he got into a car accident in 2013 that resulted in a shattered wrist, leaving him unable to play the guitar. Allen underwent surgeries and was able to re-learn the guitar and has since released in 2014 an album titled Letting You In.

The performances all lead up to the big moment when the crowd counts down the seconds to midnight and the Hershey Kiss rises to kick-off a spectacular fireworks display! We hope you all have a great holiday, and Happy New Year!
