This Saturday, the streets of Downtown Hershey will feature brightly colored cyclists taking part in the sixth annual Tour de Chocolate Town. There won’t be a rider wearing a yellow jersey, and you’re not as likely to find a tightly packed peloton like those in the Tour de France, but this is still one sweet ride. The Tour de Chocolate Town bike tour takes cyclists of varying skill levels through Hershey and neighboring towns to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
The Tour de Chocolate Town features four different bicycle routes—15-Miles, 25-Miles, a 25-Mile Med Center Loop, and a 50-Mile ride. Riders looking to test their endurance may do multiple loops, with the most advanced cyclists completing 100 miles! All routes begin and end from Henry Hershey Field at the Milton Hershey School.
Pre-registration is closed, but you can still register on the morning of the event. Registration is open from 6:30 am – 10:00 am, and riders can hit the road beginning at 7:00 am. Fees for the event are $50 per rider.
This is a rain or shine event and additional details on the Tour de Chocolate Town are available. Not interested in riding along? Come to Downtown Hershey, swing by the Farmers Market, and help cheer the riders on!
