Heating exchanges, large brewing tanks, and a grain mill can only mean one thing—it is almost time for Iron Hill Brewery to open its doors! This past week, Iron Hill Brewery got one step closer to their grand opening by installing their brewing equipment. The glistening stainless steel and copper hardware takes two weeks to get up and running, and when ready, will help the Hershey location brew 800-900 barrels of beer annually.
“This equipment will allow us to have our six signature beers on tap at all times and to brew 50 or 60 seasonal beers throughout the year, including Belgians, German lagers, and American styles,” Head Brewer Derek Testerman said.
Iron Hill Brewery plans to open their doors in November, 2018, and provide the Downtown Hershey community with the freshest ingredients and the highest quality grains and hops. Each location dedicates itself to a friendly atmosphere for all age groups, making Iron Hill a perfect spot for friends and family alike. The new Hershey location, which is about 70 percent complete, joins 15 other locations up and down the East coast.
