Come to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, October 5th for family fun and, of course, great soup! This is The Hershey Partnership’s 16th soup cook-off, and all proceeds go to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department!
A group of 20-50 local cooks gather together to make a variety of soups to be sampled and enjoyed. These cooks come from a range of professional and non-professional backgrounds.
“This is an amazing family fun event, perfect for fall, where all the proceeds go to a good cause! You won’t leave disappointed or starving,” said Grace Sullivan, The Hershey Partnership event lead.
The Cook Off will run from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event is open to the public as long as they pay the fee. Pre-purchased admission costs $10 for adults or $12 at the door. Admission for children is only $5. You’ll be able to sample all of the soups, and vote for your favorites in each category.
Attendees will also have the chance to win a variety of raffle baskets, and, if they’re lucky, the grand prize—an 18K gold necklace with a retail value of $850 that was generously donated by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. There will also be fire trucks on display in honor of Fire Prevention month and fire safety activities for the whole family to enjoy. A few Hershey’s product characters will make an appearance at the event as well for pictures and greeting.

The support from the community and the Hershey Partnership over the last 16 years has afforded us the opportunity to protect our firefighters with the best gear available. The Hershey community is amazing. They’re here when we need them, so we can be there when they need us!”
