On October 20th, Choctoberfest returns, bringing refreshing beverages, infectious music, tasty bites, and luxurious chocolate to create the perfect seasonal event! We’re excited to share the 2018 food and artisan chocolate vendors, as well as the many family friendly activities planned for the day.
But first—here all the details and quick answers to your most pressing questions:
Choctoberfest 2018 FAQs
Who: This is information for YOU and all of your friends and family members that will be coming to Choctoberfest this Saturday.
What: Choctoberfest 2018
Where: ChocolateTown Square. The event takes place in ChocolateTown Square Park, located on the southwest corner of Chocolate Avenue and Cocoa Avenue, and a portion of the parking lot adjacent to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company, 21 West Caracas Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033.
When: Saturday, October 20, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., RAIN OR SHINE
Why: Bands, Beers, Bites, and Chocolate. Do you need another reason? Family activities like face painting, a bouncy obstacle course, bean bag toss, and more!
How: Walk, bike, or drive to Choctoberfest this weekend!
We’re also providing answers to frequently asked questions and other helpful information:
- Can I bring my dog?
YES! We welcome friendly pets at Choctoberfest, as long as they are accompanied by their responsible pet owners. NEW THIS YEAR: We’re pleased to share that we’ll have an expanded pet hospitality area available. Stop by our doggie bar for water, treats, and other supplies while they last.
- Where can I park?
The Downtown Hershey parking garage will be open and can be accessed from Chocolate Avenue via Linden Road. The surface parking lot at the corner of Homestead Road and Chocolate Avenue will also be available.
- What about handicapped parking?
We will have a limited number of handicapped parking spaces available in the Caracas Avenue lot adjacent to the fire station.
- Is there an ATM onsite?
Good question, as not all of our vendors are able to accept credit cards. We will not have an ATM onsite, but there are several banks in proximity to Choctoberfest that have ATMs available:
- Wells Fargo, 27 Ridge Road, Hershey, 17033
- BBT, 201 W. Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, 17033
- Will there be restroom facilities on-site?
YES. We will have portable restroom facilities on-site.
- How much does it cost?
Choctoberfest is free and open to the public, with food and beverages available for purchase. Remember, not all vendors are able to accept credit cards.
- What if it rains?
Choctoberfest is a RAIN or SHINE event. We hope for shine.
