Derry Township Celebrates National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 7, the Derry Township Police Department will celebrate the 35th annual National Night Out. The evening activities help promote partnerships between the Derry Township Police Department and local organizations in an effort to unify the community against crime. From 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on the first block of Caracas Avenue, in front of the firehouse, there will be free food, demonstrations, and games for families and friends of all ages.

The following demonstrations will be taking place in ChocolateTown Square Park:

6:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Boot Camp by Powertrain

7:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Martial Arts demonstration by students from DeAngelis Martial Arts

7:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Derry Township Police Department K-9 demonstration

National Night Out would not be possible without the help of the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank. During the event, the organization will be holding a community blood drive. All donors will receive two Harrisburg Senators ticket vouchers, valid for any home game this season, as well as a t-shirt.

We hope to see you on August 7th, celebrating and bringing together the Derry Township community.
