The DHA board meeting on Monday, April 10, is gearing up to be a particularly interesting one, as we will welcome Lynette Chappell-Williams, Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Dean of Diversity and Inclusion at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Her presentation will be an informative and interactive discussion about diversity and inclusion within our organization and community.
According to Lynette, “…As the nation continues to diversify, organizations that are not increasing the diversity of their workforces and developing strategies for effectively serving diverse customers and clients will not be as competitive as those who do.” The DHA hopes that, through this presentation, our community and organization further understand the key role that diversity plays in a successful community.
Following the presentation, a team exercise will take place in which small groups will work together to identify the qualities and values that both sustain DHA and contribute to the quality of life component of the organization’s mission.
Be sure to stick around after the presentation, because we will be discussing our 2017 Life on Chocolate event season and branding efforts thus far!
The meeting will be held on Monday, April 10th at 5:30 pm on the lower level of the Hershey Story Museum on Chocolate Avenue. All are encouraged to attend, and are asked to use the side doors by the Pantry Cafe.
