The Downtown Hershey Association is celebrating the fifth season of Market on Chocolate on July 13th in ChocolateTown Square Park (21 W. Caracas Avenue). Begun as a way to bring the best local vendors to Downtown Hershey, the market has grown into one of summer’s most well-loved features.
Running every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Market on Chocolate features local, artisan food and craft vendors. In addition to these shopping booths, free fitness classes, kids activities, and live music are in the park throughout the season.
To mark the fifth season of Market on Chocolate, the venue will be packed with some of the area’s favorite vendors. These vendors feature American-made apparel, bath and body goods, locally-grown produce, baked goods, locally-crafted alcoholic beverages, home-decor and great lunch options from area food trucks. As a special treat, many vendors will be running $5 specials, like 2/$5 whoopie pies, $5 gourmet popcorn, and a $5 potted succulents. Watch the Market on Chocolate Facebook page as we reveal specials through the end of the week. We will also have additional kids activities including a bounce house ($3 per child for unlimited bouncing) and face painting from Splat. Kids can also make a super flyer with the Hershey Public Library.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a free barre fitness class by Studio 619. At 10:00 a.m., Yoga by Strada will be on the lawn. Market vendors are open for business at 9:30, and include old favorites as well as new additions to the season. Visitors will be able to shop and grab lunch to eat while they sit in the park and enjoy live music from the talented Hank Imhof.
