Exciting Changes to Come for The Chocolate Avenue Grill

The new year is bringing some significant renovations to the Chocolate Avenue Grill. After years of planning and anticipation, the time has come for some exciting changes at one of Downtown Hershey’s great restaurants.

Jessica Demopoulos, co-owner of Chocolate Avenue Grill, Smoked Bar & Grill, and South Philly Hoagies, says they’ve wanted to expand and make additions since the Grill’s opening 12 years ago. “Financial and architectural details needed sorting and there were several structural limitations that slowed progress of our vision for the property,” said Jessica, “but after insight from different architects over the years, we can finally begin the renovation process thanks to the work we have done with Thynk Design of Hershey.”

The focus point of the expansion is a U-shaped bar and the addition of TVs around it to create a welcoming and urban feel. At the new bar, customers will be able to choose their favorites from the delicious menu and enjoy them while watching their favorite teams. The bar options will dive deeper into the handcrafted category. Customers can expect drinks with high quality spirits, mixers and garnishes along with a nice beer and wine selection.

The exact dates of the renovation process aren’t finalized yet, but guests can stay updated through the restaurant’s social media outlets and website. Construction will begin in the early spring and closure is expected to be about four to six weeks. Jessica is hoping for a June reopening.

The Chocolate Avenue Grill will also be featuring an additional chocolate-featured menu all month long for Chocolate Covered February. Be sure to catch a last glimpse and taste of Chocolate Avenue Grill before the exciting renovations begin!
