It’s Foodie Day!

Market on Chocolate celebrates the taste buds this week.  This Saturday’s market features everything from sandwiches to unicorn treats to falafel to gourmet jams.  You’ll want to be sure to come hungry and bring the family.

For those with a sweet tooth, we’re featuring two of Hershey’s favorite bakers, Grandma Rose Desserts and The Baker’s Tree.  For your main meal, you can decide between Wich Way food truck’s large selection of hand-crafted sandwiches; Grappling Crab Shack’s thick, tasty homemade crab cake sandwiches and vegetarian pasta salad; and Rola’s tasty, crispy, fresh falafel.  Providing liquid refreshment, Somehow Healthy is back again with their smoothie truck — and you won’t be able to stop at just one creamy, frothy, and healthy drink!

You can also get all your condiment needs met.  Sweet Tulip’s honey-kissed jams and fruit butters will delight you, while the sweet and spicy sauces from Got Jerk! And TorchBearer have something for every palate.  There’s always a line at Guacamole Specialists, and you’ll want to have your camera ready to capture photos of this yummy and refreshing guacamole being made as you wait.  Sample some of BOOM Crafted’s pickles, and decide which variety is the one for you. Swatara Coffee Company’s cold brew goes nicely with their kid-loved unicorn treats. And of course you’ll want to grab a refreshing bottle of beer from Howling Henry’s and a bottle of wine Olivero’s Vineyards.

This week we’re welcoming a new produce vendor — MK Roots Farm.  This local farm features the juiciest tomatoes and picture perfect vegetables.

Enjoy all these wonderful flavors while listening to the smooth sounds of Kevin Koa from 11-12:30 and the rock beats of Salt Water Pools from 12:30-1:30.  Bring the kids and watch them complete crafts provided free by the Hershey Library.

There’s plenty at Market on Chocolate in August, and you can check our our full vendor and activity listing for this week — and every week this summer. See you Saturday!
