We’re closing out the summer of 2021 with a bang with Music on Chocolate! We’re pleased to welcome two phenomenal acts to the stage in ChocolateTown Square. Plan to spend your Saturday night with good people enjoying great music.
Returning again, Cold Spring Union, named after a portion of the Appalachian Trail that’s untouched by roads, blends classic American rock and gritty country roots. Cold Spring Union formed late in the summer of 2018, when John Rossey (Guitar/Vocals) began envisioning a new kind of project; one that would remain true to its roots of Americana and country music, and breathe new life into American rock & roll. John met Brandon Valentine (Drums/Vocals) while working together in the well-known Central Pennsylvania based country group, “Mountain Road”. As a multi-instrumentalist, Brandon brought an articulate approach to percussion, combining a gifted ear for dynamic song writing with huge vocal harmonies. John and Cody Wilt (Guitar/Vocals) had occasionally crossed paths in the greater Harrisburg area while working with other bands as lead guitarists. At the time, Cody was rotating between bands and jumped at the opportunity to join up with John. While seeking a bassist for the new band, Brandon recommended reaching out to Morgan Stambaugh (Bass/Vocals). With thundering bass lines, classical training and an encyclopedia of music production knowledge, Morgan was the final piece in establishing a solid lineup that would later become Cold Spring Union.
Cold Spring Union is quickly becoming recognized as a super talented group of musicians with a powerful stage presence full of good energy and passion. Since forming last year, the group has performed at legendary venues and a variety of festivals, and has opened for national acts including Shooter Jennings, Brett Young, Dustin Lynch, Cassadee Pope, Alabama, Sam Bush, Ward Hayden and the Outliers, and more.
Also returning, we have musician Conrad Fisher is on a roll. The twenty seven year old singer/songwriter from Gordonville, PA. Fisher was named Best Songwriter at the 2021 Central Pennsylvania Music Awards. His song “Living Left To Do” recorded by Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers topped the charts 4 weeks in a row on the Bluegrass Today Gospel Weekly Chart.
Conrad began playing in local bands in his hometown when he was in high school. By the time he was twenty he was fronting the band and playing original music. His unique style as a guitar player and songwriter draws from a wide range of influences from Don Williams to Buck Owens to Tom Petty.
Conrad is currently working on his new album in Nashville and co-writing with an impressive list of heroes: Roger Cook, Dallas Frasier, Buzz Cason, and Dickie Lee to name a few. His latest video with country great Dickie Lee singing “She Thinks I Still Care:, has well over 500,000 views.
