July Second Saturday in Downtown Hershey

shutterstock_393591292Once again, Downtown Hershey is the place to shop, eat and have fun with the whole family!  This Saturday, ChocolateTown Square will be bustling with activities throughout the day and evening, with many downtown businesses offering Second Saturday specials.

In the morning, be sure to stop by The Farmers Market on Chocolate’s Blueberry Festival to pick up some summer fruits and vegetables, fresh baked treats, and handmade goods. The Farmers Market on Chocolate runs every Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and is located behind ChocolateTown Square, in the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company parking lot.

ChocolateTown Square will host a variety of fun activities throughout the day, including a bouncy obstacle course during the Farmers Market. From 8:00 am to 9:00 am, the park will welcome two free fitness classes: The Dailey Method fitness class, as well as a Tiny Tigers fitness class for kids ages 3-4. From 9:00 am to 10:00 am DeAngelis Martial Arts will host the first week of a five week sword training class for all ages. Register in advance for this class or drop in and pay as you go. Also from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, the Living Well will host a free Qi Gong class, a Chinese form of exercise with movements like Tai Chi but with a self healing intention. Be sure to stop by Mysteries of the Maya in the Park, hosted by The Hershey Story, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. At 1:00 pm, Paint and Create comes to ChocolateTown Square for a BYOB adult paint class.

Finish off your Saturday of fun with Downtown Hershey’s outdoor summer concert series, Music on Chocolate, featuring two acts: Hip450 and DeSoto Rust from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the park at ChocolateTown Square. Music on Chocolate is a free, family-friendly event. In July, The Chocolate Avenue Grill will join us with Philly cheesesteaks; smoked mac n cheese; fruit, cheese, and nut snack packs; and dessert. We’re also looking forward to welcoming back Olivero’s Vineyard and a Tröegs Independent Brewing Beer Garden. No BYOB, please.IMG_1384
