It’s the most chocolate-y time of the year! As the new month comes into view, so does Hershey’s annual sweet treat, Chocolate Covered February. Throughout Downtown Hershey there are a variety of activities, whether you’re a couple in want of a romantic dinner or a family looking for a Saturday activity. Here are just a few ideas you can use to sweeten up your February.
Head up to the Hershey Gardens for a Sweet Scavenger hunt, a chance for parents and kids to explore the outdoors and the conservatory. The prize for completion is a yummy treat, so take the family out for a weekend adventure.
What better place to create a Chocolate confection than on Chocolate Avenue? The Hershey Story is offering two new Chocolate Lab classes this month, “Try it with Truffles” and “The Heart of Chocolate.” Both classes are 45-minutes long, and allow you to follow in Milton Hershey’s footsteps. Create either a heart shaped confection, or your own truffles, complete with chocolate ganache. It’s delicious fun for everyone.
Of course, Chocolate Covered February wouldn’t be complete without Hershey’s Chocolate World’s newest tradition, Hershey’s Chocolate Sculpture. The subject of the this year’s sculpture will be revealed on February 1, but stop by Chocolate World anytime until the end of the month to enjoy this chocolate masterpiece.
Why eat chocolate when you can be pampered with it? In case you are unable to make it up to the Hotel Hershey, Downtown Hershey’s very own Melt Spa can make you feel good as new with their Dark Chocolate Treatments.
In case actual chocolate isn’t your forte, the Hershey Theatre offers attractions just as sweet as candy. This month they are featuring Sleeping Beauty and Gypsy Passion for both one night only. At the end of the month, bring your whole family to enjoy Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
